A HUGE thank you to Betty, Paul, Bret, EJ, and
Heather and all who contributed to a 4th of July
that was the best ever!!!!
First off, the boat parade was a hit!! Never
had I seen so many boats decorated and lined up ready to take part in the
boat parade! It was a sight to see. Awesome decorations and the creativity
was outstanding!! The weather held out just in time.......it was close
thought!!
Next, the feast at Bret and EJ's house was
FABULOUS!!!! Everyone brought sides and treats.....I especially loved Jay
Monroe's bacon wrapped crackers. CRAZY GOOD!!! We all want that recipe!!
Everything from Paula Deen's Mac n Cheese to Kale salad was laid out in
their amazing lake house kitchen.
Last, the party continued down the road to
Heather Moody's gorgeous home. Blankets and chairs covered the lawn as we
all laid out under the stars for a fireworks show like non other!!! NASA
called and said it was AWESOME!!!!
I'm so grateful to be part of such a wonderful
community. I think Bret said it best....... "this is my escape and paradise
for many reasons, but the most important for me is friends and neighbors."
